Scratchers Player Turns $60 Prize into $2 Million Win

Dec 08, 2025

A Missouri Lottery player won a $2 million prize after using a previous $60 win to purchase a “Magnificent Millions” Scratchers ticket.

“I actually won $60 on another ticket, and that’s when I decided to buy this one,” the winner said.

She purchased the winning ticket at Casey’s, 326 S. Morley St. in Moberly, before taking it out to her car to scratch it off.

“Everything I scratched was like, ‘Win, win, win!’” she laughed.

Overwhelmed and unsure of how much she’d won, she took the ticket back into the store and asked the clerk to check it for her.

“He turned the screen around and showed me the $2 million, and I just started shaking and crying!” she said.

She quickly called her husband, who didn’t believe her at first.

“She called me and I was like, ‘No, there’s no way,’” her husband shared, adding that he told her to “Double check – actually, double-double check!”

The winner added the reality of such a big win was still sinking in.

“I’m in such a weird state of mind,” she said. “I’m just trying to process it.”

Since “Magnificent Millions” began on Aug. 25, players have won over $15.6 million in prizes playing the $20 game. Over $35.1 million remain in unclaimed prizes, including one more top prize of $2 million and two prizes of $100,000.

Players who purchased tickets in Randolph County last fiscal year won more than $5.9 million in total Missouri Lottery prizes. Retailers received more than $479,000 in commissions and bonuses, and education programs in the county received more than $1.2 million in appropriated Lottery proceeds.
